Characterization of Surface Modified Nano TiO2 and ZrO2 Particles by DSC and TGA

  • 摘要: 采用DSC及TGA技术对制备的表面为硬脂酸修饰的二氧化钛及二氧化锆纳米微粒的热性能进行了研究,结合透射电镜的分析表征,结果表明,我们所得到的TiO2、ZrO2纳米微粒表面确为硬脂酸所修饰,由于其纳米微粒核的存在使其表面修饰层的熔点温度升高;此外表面修饰纳米微粒由于其大的比表面积和不稳定的晶体结构使其分别在710K左右产生粘着和型变.

     

    Abstract: The thermal performances of nano TiO2 and ZrO2 partcles modified with stearic acid have been investigated by means of DSC and TGA. The results obtained, combined with the result of TEM analysis, show that the surfaces of nano TiO2 and ZrO2 particles are mded modified by stearic acid. The rise of melting points of the surface modified layers is caused by the existence of the nano particle nuclei. Besides. as the temperature rises to about 710 K,adhesion and crystal transformation in the nano particles occur due to their big specific surface area and unstable crystal structure.
