Spectrophotometric Determination of Iodine Using the Systemof IO3--I--Methylene Blue-Gum Arabic-Polyvinyl Alcohol

  • 摘要: 在pH3.8苯二甲酸氢钾 盐酸介质中,有阿拉伯胶和聚乙烯醇存在下,IO3-氧化I-生成I3-,I3-再与亚甲基蓝形成离子缔合物,缔合物的最大吸收波长为525nm,表观摩尔吸光系数ε525=1.32×105L/(mol·cm),IO3-浓度在0~30μg/25mL范围内服从比尔定律.方法用于碘盐和生物样品中碘的测定,结果满意.

     

    Abstract: A high sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of iodine has been developed. In the pH3.8 KHC8H4O4-HCl buffer solution, in the presence of gum arabic and polyvinyl alcohol,IO3- oxidated I- to produce I3-, then I3- reacted with methylene blue to form an ion-association. The maximum absorbance is at 525 nm and the molar absorptivity is 1.32×105L/mol·cm, Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0~30 μg/25 mL. The method has been applied to the determination of iodine in its salt and biological samples with satisfactory results.
