聚苯醚中羟基含量测定

Determination of OH Group Content in Polyphenylene Oxide

  • 摘要: 使用红外吸收光谱法(IR)和凝胶渗透色谱法(GPC)分析了乙酸酐与聚苯醚酯化反应前后聚苯醚的结构变化.结果表明,加热和催化条件下,乙酸酐可与聚苯醚的羟基彻底反应生成酯.加水将过量的乙酸酐水解成乙酸,通过氢氧化钾乙醇溶液滴定乙酸的量可以测定聚苯醚的羟基含量.测得一种聚苯醚的羟基当量平均值为851.6 g/mol,结果稳定.

     

    Abstract: The esterification reaction of acetic anhydride and polyphenylene oxide(PPO) was studied by IR and GPC. The results showed that acetic anhydride can react with the OH group of PPO to form ester under heating and catalyzing. Excess acetic anhydride would hydrolyze into acetic acid. The OH group content of PPO can be measured by titration of potassium hydroxide alcohol solution with acetic acid. One kind of PPO was measured by this method and the OH group content was 851.6 g/mol by average. The results were stable.
