Spectrophotometric Determination of Cefazolin Sodium using p-benzoquinone

  • 摘要: 在pH9.0硼砂缓冲溶液中,头孢唑啉钠与对苯醌发生荷移反应,形成稳定的1:2配合物,其最大吸收波长为619.4nm;表观摩尔吸光系数为1.02×104L/(mol·cm);线性范围为0.9~48μg/mL;线性方程A=0.02033C+0.01142;该法的相对标准偏差0.5%~5.3%.应用该法测定注射用头孢唑啉钠含量与中国药典方法分析结果一致.

     

    Abstract: A spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of cefazolin sodium. It is based on the reaction of charge transfer with p-benzoquinone in pH 9.0 borax buffer solution.The maximum absorption of the complex is at 619.4 nm. The apparent molar absorptivity is 1.02×104 L/(mol·cm) for p-benzoquinone. The calibration curves is linear within the concentration range of 0.9~48 μg/mL for p-benzoquinone. The complex composition of cefazolin sodium with p-benzoquinone is 1:2. The relative standard deviation is between 0.5%~5.3%. This proposed methods has been applied to the determination of cefazolin sodium in tablets with satisfactory results.
