Variation Characteristics and Influence Factors of Air Pollution Index in Jiangjin

Based on the daily air pollution index (API), primary pollutant and air quality level of 2 automatic air monitoring stations in Jiangjin during 2010~2014, the characteristics of air quality were analyzed. The results showed that the urban air quality was excellent and good in the majority, and the primary pollutant was PM₁₀. The API of Jiangjin was worst in winter and best in summer. The air quality was impacted by meteorological factors, geographical conditions and human activities.
