Analysis of Low Content Fluoride in Environmental Water by Ion Chromatography

  • The method of determination of fluoride ions in the environment water by ion chromatography (IC) was established. The experimental conditions were optimized. The eluent was 1.8 mmol/L Na2CO3-1.7 mmol/L NaHCO3 and the flow rate was 0.8 mL/min. In the experiment, activated carbon was selected as the solid adsorbent, and solid phase extraction was used to eliminate the interference of trace acetic acid in the environment water. The results showed that the detection limit of the method was 0.022 2 mg/L, the recovery rate was 97.6%~98.9%, and the relative standard deviation was less than 2%. The method is simple and accurate, and could be used for the determination of low-level fluoride in environmental water.
