Study on Determination of Platinum by Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectrometry with On-line Rhodanine Chelating Fibre Column Preconcentration

  • An analytical method is described for the determination of trace amounte of platinum by inductively coupled Plasma emission spectrometry (ICP-AEC) with on-line Rhodanine chelating fibre column Preconcentration. Platinum in 2mol/L HCl is retained on Rhodanine chelating tibre column and eluted consecutitvely by 5% thiourea in 4mol/L HAc and 10% HCl at 50℃. All Procedures are controlled by an automated apparatus coupled to ICP-AES. The Optimum conditions for the adsorption of platinum on Rhodahine chelating fibre and the effects of acidity and flow rate of sample solution, composition and flow late of eluent and coexisting substance are investigated. The enrichment factor at 8mL loading volume is 6.8 and the detection limit is decreased five times in comparison with that of conventional method.
