Determination of Trace Nickel in Human Hair by Graphite Probe Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

  • A simple, ralid and accurate method for the determination of trace nickel in human hair samples by graphite probe furnace AAS has developed. The concentration of nickel and the absorbance (Peak-area mode) showed an excellent linear relation in the range of 0~200ng/mL. The characteristic mass, detection limit and precision of nickel were 51.83pg, 86.82pg and 3.86% RSD respectively. A standard addition test gave a recovery of 94.5~105.7%.
