Determination of Carbamate Pesticides Residue in Tobacco by Using Solid Phase Extraction and Capillary Gas Chromatography

An efficient method combining capillary gas chromatography with LC Florisil cartridge solid phase extraction(SPE) for the quantitation of 5 carbamates—carbaryl, carbofuran, isoprocarb, metolcarb, mothomyl, in tobacco is presented. The 5 carbamates could be well separated within 12 minutes in a OV 101 capillary column and detected with flame ionic detector(FID). The sensitivity of detection for the 5 carbamates was in the range of 11～16 ng. Recoveries were in the range of 85.0%～103.2%. The calibration curve were linear in the range of 1～25 g/mL with r≥0.9950.
