Determination of Carbamate Pesticides Residue in Tobacco by Using Solid Phase Extraction and Capillary Gas Chromatography

  • An efficient method combining capillary gas chromatography with LC Florisil cartridge solid phase extraction(SPE) for the quantitation of 5 carbamates—carbaryl, carbofuran, isoprocarb, metolcarb, mothomyl, in tobacco is presented. The 5 carbamates could be well separated within 12 minutes in a OV 101 capillary column and detected with flame ionic detector(FID). The sensitivity of detection for the 5 carbamates was in the range of 11~16 ng. Recoveries were in the range of 85.0%~103.2%. The calibration curve were linear in the range of 1~25 g/mL with r≥0.9950.
