Spectral Properties of Blood Cell

  • The resonance scattering spectrum(RSS) of the blood, red blood cells(RBC), white blood cells(WBC) and serums has been studied. The blood and RBC exhibit four resonance scattering peaks(RSP) at 310 nm, 470 nm, 560 nm and 600 nm. There are two RSP at 310 nm, 470 nm for WBC. The serum has three weaker RSP at 310 nm, 470 nm, 680 nm. The maximum absorption wavelengths (λmax) of the blood and RBC are all at 417.6 nm. The λmax of WBC is 376.3 nm. The conuntration of blood cell is proportional to the intensity of resonance scattering light.
