Identification of Needle-shaped Unknown Compound in o-Phenylenediamine

    Abstract
  • An unknown needle shaped compound was separated from o-phenylenediamine. The purity was certified by HPLC and GC. Meanwhile, the analyses were proceeded in element, IR, UV, MS, NMR(1H and 13C). The results of analysis indicated that the unknown compound was 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole(C6H4N2S).
