Fast Determination of Aromatic Hydrocabon Content and Olefinic Hydrocabon Content in Blended Gasoline by NIR Spectrometer

  • Application of NIR spectrometer with CCD detector in the analysis of blended gasoline was introduced. Aromatic hydrocarbon content and olefinic hydrocarbon content of clean gasoline were tested by NIR method, and compared with that tested by standard method. It was proved that NIR method agrees well with the standard method. The NIR method, with the advantages of better repeatability, shorter testing time, easier operation and no need of solvent, has been used in the procedure of gasoline blending.
