High-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry for the Determination of β-Agonist

  • The LC-MS-MS method is presented to analyze agonists residues in urine and animal tissue, using microchemical sample pretreatment technique combined with solid-phase extraction method. Analytes identification and quantification were performed using multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) with one precursor ion and three to four product ions as identifiers and electrospray ionization in positive mode. Limits of quantification were 0.15-0.6 ng/g for Clenbuterol and Saltbutamol in different samples; linear range were over 102, correlation coefficients of linear regression equations were above 0.999 and the recovery was over 70%.
