  • Perfluorooctane sulfonate ( PFOS) and related perfluorine compounds are new persistent organic pollutants, the pollutions caused by them have become a global problem. The striking advantage in trace analysis of high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) technology makes it widely used in the analysis of PFOS and related compounds. The application of HPLC-MS in the detection of PFOS and related compounds in environment, industry, food and biology is summarized.
