Rapid Determination of Dimethyl Fumarate in Cake by Capillary Gas Chromatography

  • A method for the rapid detection of dimethyl fumarate in cake by capillary gas chromatography has been set up. Dimethyl fumarate easily dissolves in methenyl chloride.Using ultrasonic extraction, dimethyl fumarate can be extracted with methenyl chloride, and then determined by gas chromatography. The detection limits in this method was 2.00 mg/kg with a linearity range of 10~500 μg/mL and the correlative coefficient was 0.99999. The recovery rate was 93.0%~109.0% and the RSD value was 1.30%~1.90%. This method is simple, rapid and accurate with high recovery. It can be used to determine dimethyl fumarate in cake.
