Effect of Two Common Fuel Additives on Gasoline Combustion Smoke Dust

  • Three gasoline combustion smoke dust samples, i.e. from burning gasoline, burning gasoline with one fuel additive and burning gasoline with another fuel additive, were prepared and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The results showed that the percentages of the characteristic components were changed, the spectrogram and the characteristic components were slightly affected by one fuel additive. But the spectrogram, characteristic components and percentages of the characteristic components in gasoline with another fuel additive were greatly affected. The results can provide some reference basis for the fire material evidence identification.
